Eligibility:
The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for their 10+2 final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission.

The candidate should have passed Graduation(10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or its equivalent examination from any recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for their graduation final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission.
Total Intake: One Hundred Eighty (180) Seats.

What are the academic qualification/minimum eligibility criteria to apply for LL.B. / B.A.LL.B ?
LL.B is basically a three year degree course offered by various universities across the globe to students who wish to have a career in legal profession. LL.B. is pursued basically after the completion of 3 Years of graduation in either streams i.e. Science, Commerce or Arts.
B.A.LL.B.(H) is a 5 year integrated honours course which can be pursued after the 12thstandard, i.e. 10+2. It is specially targeted for the students who have an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences for the benefit and betterment of the society and also for the creation of well trained and dedicated professionals within the legal framework. The Eligibility criteria to get enrolled into B.A.LL.B. is to secure a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks in 10+2 (40% for SC/ST candidates) in either of the streams i.e. Science, Commerce or Arts.
Is there any age bar/restriction to take admission in LL.B / B.A.LL.B. ?
There is no age restriction/bar to get admission into LL.B. course. But for B.A.LL.B.(H) course, maximum age limit is 21 years for general category and 22 years for SC & ST candidates.
What are the facilities that are provided by the Khordha Law College ?
KLC is established at the prime location of Khordha City at Mukunda Prasad (10 km away from Bhubaneswar), which is well connected through Mo buses and other conveyances. KLC provides its students with spacious smart class rooms, with projectors and installations of CCTV cameras though out the campus, proper Moot Court Room, Legal Aid Cell, Seminar Hall, Debate Room, etc. Besides, special outdoor activities are conducted on a regular basis like Jail, Prison, Court visits and participation in Free Legal Aid Programmes are mandatory for the students. KLC has experienced faculty with specialization in different fields like Business Law, Criminology, Intellectual Property Rights, Family Law, Constitutional Law etc.
Which official statutory bodies have approved these courses ?
Both the B.A.LLB.(H) as well as the LL.B. Courses running in KLC is Affiliated under Madhusudan Law University, Cuttack and Approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Is there any entrance exam for admission to Khordha Law College?

Is hostel facility available for students ?
KLC has separate Hostel accommodation for both Male as well as Female students within the Campus boundaries itself making it a safe and secure place to live in for students across the nation. The rooms are quite spacious with double and triple sitter accommodation with attached or common washrooms both. Clean drinking water coolers are installed in every floor along with high speed Wi-Fi and laundry facilities are there too. Moreover, CCTV cameras are installed on all exits for safety. A Mess is situated within the campus itself which provides healthy, nutritious and delicious food two times a day. Food is served in the Dining Hall with proper sitting tables and chairs. Hostel and Mess charges are separate from the College Tuition Fees.

Where can I practice after successful completion of B.A.LL.B. or LL.B. from KLC ?
Anyone can practice in any State of India after the successful completion of the B.A.LL.B. or LL.B. Course from KLC by registering oneself as an Advocate on Record under the Bar Council of India (BCI). One has to qualify on a mandatory basis the All India Bar Council Examination (AIBCE) held twice a year within 2 years of the date of registering as an Advocate.
Can I take admission in B.A.LLB or LL.B. after completing my 12th from open schooling like NIOS or as a private student?
Yes, you can take admission in B.A.LL.B after successful completion of 12th from a school which is recognized by a proper Board. For this the minimum percentage is 45% for General/OBC and 40% for SC and ST Candidates. For taking admission in LL.B. one must hold a proper 3 years Graduation Degree from a college which is recognized by a proper University.
